City of Wollongong Wind Band

img_0133ed1_wo

Started in mid-2003 as a brass band, (originally known as the Intermediate Band) is the second most recently formed band within the organisation.

Over time, (and after many enquiries from woodwind players), it was realised that anyone who played a woodwind instrument had a very limited choice of bands they could join in the Wollongong area.
After many discussions with members from all our bands, regarding the introduction of woodwind instruments into this band, a vote was held and the Wind Band was formalised in November 2009.

Currently under the skilled leadership of William Quinton, the band is practising for the various play outs it performs during the year.

Rehearsing on Tuesday nights from 7:15pm to 9:15pm, in the Band Hall.
The Wind Band always welcomes new members, regardless of their experience.
