The Brass Band is the main band of our organisation and traces its history back to the original Wollongong Steelworks Brass Band that became the City of Wollongong Brass Band.

Started in mid-2003 as a brass band, (originally known as the Intermediate Band) is the second most recently formed band within the organisation.

City of Wollongong Junior Brass Band |
|

The City of Wollongong Junior Brass Band is under the directorship of Phil Eades. The Junior Brass Band is the band for members under the age of 19 years. Older members help out from time to time, but they are unable to compete in competitions. Many of the Junior Band's more experienced players also play with the Senior Band.

The Junior Wind Band is our most recently formed band, and is under the capable direction of Leanne Walton.
This band caters for wind players under 19 years. New players are welcome. There is no entrance audition. Own instrument is required.
The Junior Wind Band rehearses Tuesday evenings at 5:30pm in the Band Hall, corner of Ellen and Church Street. |
