The Brass Band is the main band of our organisation and traces its history back to the original Wollongong Steelworks Brass Band that became the City of Wollongong Brass Band. The Brass Band comprises more experienced and committed members of the band who strive to perform an excellent concert repertoir and achieve outstanding results at every contest they attend. The Brass Band recently achieved Third place in the Open C Grade Section of the NSW State Band Championships held in Penrith, September 2010. The Band always welcomes new mambers. They currently practice at 7:30pm on Friday nights in the Band Hall. The current Musical Director is Phil Eades. |
